I've been going to Gettysburg for many years.. so much that I bought a vacation home there. I bought this book for my wife so we could do some tours (walking or driving) of specific areas. This book didn't disappoint. There are tours of the hospitals, Culp's Hill, Peach Orchard, original Rt. 30 path, rock carvings, specific days, etc. etc. Lots of stuff I had never seen before although I've seen lots of 'off the beaten path' stuff in the 20+ years I've been coming here. I am a frequent and long time visitor to Gettysburg. I am well read on the battle and the events that happened both during and after the battle. The Complete Gettysburg Guide is a must have for amateur and expert alike. There are off the beaten path points of interest, little known areas of interest and so much more. Mr. Petruzzi and Stanley have outdone them selves with maps, text and guides to create a COMPLETE guide to the Battle and Town of Gettysburg. I have learned so much from this book and use it often.
